Sanctuary was founded in April 2002 by MC Efeeze and DJ John G. At the time the pair had been working in the club scene for various promoters but felt their ideas were unheard and that there was a demand for a night such as Sanctuary playing various styles of music.

Combining top class DJs with a unique style of mixing and the best MCs around, Sanctuary strives to give the public good entertainment and an enjoyable night out. Sanctuary began at the Cricketer night club in Wigan, where the first few events only saw double figure crowds, but as soon as the tapes from the first night hit the street the number shot up in weeks.

The demand fast grew nationwide and Sanctuary have now put on nights all over the North West at venues such as Club One-Eleven (Blackpool), Fusion (Workington), Coyote (Bolton), Sidewalk (Preston), and now secure a monthly residency at KLUB DNA in Blackpool.

Sanctuary has rapidly become one of the North West's premier nights. Over the past 3 years we brought in some of the best guests in the business such as Alex K, Ian Redman, Ben Trengove, Mikey B, Quadrasonic, Rhythm FX, Wideboys, Nitra - M plus many more.

Sanctuary is going from strength to strength with big plans for 2006.
